Ohio’s Newest Music Magazine
The OhioJams Network and Music Magazine spotlights Ohio’s creative and eccentric jam-bands, singer/songwriters, festivals and special events around the state. As the Buckeye state’s newest online publication, OhioJams Music Magazine is endeavored to publish feature articles about current musical events around the state, including festival previews and reviews, as well as reviewing new releases by Ohio-based bands and artists.
A Premier Networking Resource
The OhioJams Network aims to elevate Ohio’s self-determined bands and singer/songwriters by providing resources for venues around the state, including booking and promotional contacts. We encourage bands and musicians to expand their horizons beyond their hometown by taking part in OhioJams’ Gig Swap; networking with other bands, and booking another interested act to open for your band locally while opening them in their hometown.
History of OhioJams
OhioJams v1 made its debut in 2003, and by 2004 became a leading resource with event listings and links for Ohio-based bands, festivals and concert venues. Designed by Bill Kurzenberger, with Tony from the band Colorwheel providing the discussion board idea bulb, OhioJams’s original website prospered from 2004 through 2005 and 2006.
In early 2026 following a six-month tenure as Editor-In-Chief of Psychedelic Scene Magazine and remaining its Editor-at-Large, Kurzenberger rejuvenated OhioJams v2.0 for this era of Ohio’s jam-oriented music scene in the form of The OhioJams Network and Music Magazine, which made its debut May 1st, 2026.
